This page is strictly to explain my process when reviewing the books that I read.

My Preferences:
I tend to devour stories in Fiction, Fantasy, Crime, Mystery, and Horror, but my reading tastes are wide open. YA, Sci-Fi, Non-Fiction, Memoirs, Biographies—you name it, I’ll try it. For me, reading is all about discovery, and I never want to miss out on something I might end up loving.

My Reviews:

  • My reviews are always based on my personal reading experience and the emotions that I felt while engaging with each book. I understand that not everyone will share the same perspective, and I truly respect that. I love discussing books and hearing different viewpoints—it’s part of what makes reading so rewarding. While I share both what I loved and what I didn’t connect with, I always aim to explain my thoughts respectfully. I deeply appreciate the time and effort that every author puts into their work, and my goal is never to diminish that, only to share my honest experience as a reader.
  • My loyalty is to my readers and followers, so I will always be honest. If I didn’t enjoy a book, I won’t say that I did. However, I also believe that every author puts time, effort, and passion into their work, so I will never “trash” a book. Instead, I will explain what didn’t work for me personally, while also highlighting aspects that other readers might enjoy.
  • I understand that not everyone shares the same opinion, and that’s perfectly okay. I just ask that we respect one another by expressing our thoughts in a constructive and considerate manner.
  • In every review, I aim to highlight something I appreciate about the book. If a story doesn’t resonate with me, I will share my thoughts honestly while keeping my feedback constructive.
  • I may not review every book I read—sometimes due to time constraints or because I don’t have a clear rating in mind—but if someone asks me to review a book I’ve read, I’ll definitely make the effort.
  • Sometimes I receive ARCs, but that never changes my opinion. Every review I write is my honest reaction to the book.

My Rating System

Plot, Writing, Characters, and Overall Opinion are the four categories I focus on when rating.

  • ★★★★★ (5 stars): Absolutely loved the book! The author’s writing and characters feel so real that I’d want to know them in real life. I may even feel sad when it ends. I’ll recommend it to everyone I meet, and it’s definitely a reread.

  • ★★★★ (4 stars): I really enjoyed it, but something small was missing. I might recommend it, but I can’t quite say I loved it.

  • ★★★ (3 stars): Glad I read it. It was enjoyable, but not something I’d strongly recommend or reread.

  • ★★ (2 stars): The writing or story idea had potential, but something major was lacking. I wouldn’t recommend it.

  • ★ (1 star): I did not enjoy this book.

  • 0 stars: If a book doesn’t even earn one star, I will explain why as respectfully as I can—or I won’t review it at all. I don’t feel it’s constructive to post only negative feedback, and I hope I never need to use this rating.

About the blog

Your daily dose of unhinged chaos – where romance is reckless, characters are feral, twists are with a body count, and the spice is non-negotiable… But… that is just my opinion.
